What a nifty box!!

Wow! What a cool box! You know you're a mom when you spend your sick day cleaning, cooking, and organizing. Poor girl - get some rest!

Jennifer

That is an awesome sewing box! I love it. This is much smaller, but have you seen these cool little boxes? http://www.etsy.com/view_listing.php?listing_id=5412593

I totally need one (or ten!) of those organizing boxes. I can never find the knitting implement I am looking for. The most used implements tend to live under my couch, thanks to a bored and curious cat.

PS: the merino/tencel yarn is quite beautiful, but it has it's faults. For one, it is very slippery, so when knitting on dpns, you have to be careful to keep the "corner" stitches pulled tight so that they don't end up as a line of wonky stitches up the sides of your socks. There is a lot less give/stretch, too, so proper gauge becomes more important. But, as I said, the shininess of it is really appealing!

PPS: Thanks for the comment re: my soap!

I’m in the process of doing some massive ring maintenance for the FiberArts Bloggers ring and I am contacting you because there’s a problem with your code. The code you have up is actually alright, except that the ring’s home page on the urbanspinner site is long gone. The new home page is:
http://unioncenterknits.typepad.com/fiber_arts_bloggers/
You’re welcome to either switch out just that one part of the code, or ask me for the basic default ring code instead.
Please feel free to contact me with any related questions/concerns. Once you have your code fixed up, if you want to send me a note I’d appreciate it, so I can check it out. Thanks!
Joni
PS If we’ve already corresponded via e-mail you can disregard this message. I’m not the best with names. ;)

Those little boxes are the best. I think my mom might have one...hmmm....

Gorgeous!

I had one of those for years and I never used it! My son begged for it when he was five. He put it to good use...pokemon storage and hot wheel parking. He loved it! But now, seeing yours all neat and tidy makes me wonder if I should have kept it. Probably not. Even when neatly organized my stuff is a mess and scattered again within weeks!

Norma

Oh, that is the cutest handy-dandy thing. Everything old is new again!

Mary

Thanks for the update, Isela! I'm thinking about bidding ;)

knittymama

Ooh ooh!! I want one! Very cool!

Lynda

I remember my mom having one of those. I wonder what happened to it.

Janet

Wonderfully ingenious solution! (And I totally know the frustration of needing whatever notion it is that is the furthest away from me at the moment).

But . . . the dreams? What do they MEAN? I too wish you some happier dreams.

Mary

That box is awesome! It reminds me of a Kit & Kaboodle box I had a long time ago for make up and stuff. It's been a long time since I've worn make up ;) I definately could use something like that too, seeing as how my notions' where-a-bouts have gone haywire as well. Wishing you happier dreams :)

Ruth

That Box is so cool!

Lee

Cool box. I was thinking of organizing my notions too. They are everywhere and in different cases. It would be nice to have it all in one place and organized. Good idea!

Cindy in Oregon

Oh, I love that box! How handy. I haven't seen one of those in a long time.

Now what's up with those snake dreams??? :)
