Go ahead and enjoy the birthday without the speeding train. We just did that for our 28th anniversary too. It was bliss. We just took the day for what it was.
With all you are into, and the kids in school now, it is easy to overload. Those quiet days for a present can be the best gifts ever. Have a great and relaxing birthday Saturday. I hope the sun is shinning on your day.

Sounds like the perfect day!

Good job on all of your races listed on your sidebar. Tri's sound like so much fun but first I need to learn how to swim :-)

Toot, toot -- all aboard! It's a Crazy Train around here, with 2 kids in school and activities and such. Thank heavens it doesn't last forever, and it never gets (too) boring. A very happy, stress free birthday to you.

Those are usually the kind of plans I like to have for my birthday, too. I like to say, "don't make me do anything I don't want to do on my birthday" It doesn't always work, but when it does it sure feels good. My husband's family usually likes to have birthday parties on the same day as their own birthday and even have separate birthday parties when birthdays are two days apart. It drives me crazy sometimes, but I won't do it---getting ready for guests is not my idea of a fun day! Anyway . . .
This past year has been overly busy for me as well (so busy, I remember very little), but those days that I took time to do nothing overly significant and spend with my husband were the days that I remember most. They have made every other day much easier to handle! Hope you can do that too!

**sigh** I SO know what you mean! We have to figure out how to have some time to do those things on a more regular basis, don't we?

Those sound like the best birthday plans ever! I think that's really why I enjoyed mine so much...I just did whatever I wanted and kept no track of time...it was bliss! :) I think this is exactly what you should do...and happy 32 to you!!!
